LOS ANGELES, CA â February 21, 2024Â â In a significant crackdown on organized crime, a multi-agency law enforcement task force successfully executed a large-scale operation to dismantle a criminal network responsible for a wave of disruptions and violence across Los Angeles over a 21-day period.
The operation, dubbed “Operation Safe Streets,” culminated in the early morning raids and arrests targeting a sophisticated gang of 35 individuals. The group is accused of a wide range of crimes, including extortion, public corruption, theft of public property, and inciting social unrest through coordinated acts of vandalism and intimidation.

The investigation, led by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) in conjunction with federal agents from the FBI, was launched in response to a series of coordinated acts that threatened public safety and damaged city property. The gang’s activities had created a climate of fear and disorder in several neighborhoods.
